Located near the rolling hills of the upper Mississippi river valley lies Prairie View Vineyard. Started in 2004, our sights are always on producing some of the regions finest wine and table grapes.
We are currently growing La Crescent as our white wine grape (ripens to a beautiful golden brown) and Somerset seedless as our table grape (flame-orange when ripe).
La Crescent offers the wine maker a wonderful new white wine grape variety that will have consistent quality to assure his success. The Somerset seedless grape another new variety now being grown has a sweet fruity flavor with a tender skin.
We have been expanding our vineyard to keep up with the increasing demand for high quality locally grown products. In the coming years ahead Mississippi Valley wine and table grapes will rival those of the Napa valley in quality and consistancy.
Entering our fifth year our first two crops of La Crescent in 2007 & 2008 were wonderful. We now look to expand our table grape markets. |
